The story of Divine Love Ministry — from one priest's personal outreach to a growing community of care across Ghana's Central Region.
Our history
Divine Love Ministry began in 2020 in Kasoa, Central Region, as a benevolent initiative by Rev. Fr. Charles Bekpar to support the aged, the sick, and the less privileged. In those early days, the work was funded entirely through Fr. Bekpar's personal contributions and donations from family and friends.
The initiative supported small business set-ups for women, donated food items and cash to the sick and the aged, and delivered supplies to orphanages — quiet acts of love that steadily grew into something larger.
On Sunday, 13th September 2022, the organization was officially launched at Mercy Women Catholic Hospital, Mankessim. Since then, Divine Love Ministry has organized free National Health Insurance registration for four communities, free health screening and treatment, health education, sports activities for the youth, and ongoing donations to orphanages, the sick, and the aged.

Officially launched on 13th September at Mercy Women Catholic Hospital, Mankessim.
Free NHIS registration held for the people of Eduafo, Jedu, and Abura Nkwanta on 29th December.
Running health outreaches, youth sports, women's empowerment, and support programs across the Central Region.
Our founder
Rev. Fr. Charles Bekpar is a Catholic priest and the Chaplain of Mercy Women Catholic Hospital, Mankessim, in the Central Region of Ghana. Moved by the daily struggles of the aged, the sick, and the less privileged around him, he began Divine Love Ministry as a personal act of service — funding its earliest work from his own resources and the generosity of family and friends.
Every act of love, however small, restores dignity to someone who needs it.
